PoC (Power Over Coaxia) power supply is a technology based on coaxial video, coaxial control, and power superimposition. 1. Different transmission methods.
PoE is through the CAT.5 and above network cable, while transmitting the digital network signal on the differential line, it supplies power to the PD end. There are usually two ways of PoE power supply: the first uses an 8-core network cable, using the 4, 5, 6, and 7 free ends for power transmission, and the signal and power are transmitted separately; the second uses a 4-core network cable, that is, using 1 , 6 The data terminal transmits the power and also transmits the digital signal, realizes the signal and the power superimposed transmission.
PoC adopts a single-wire transmission method. It is simpler to use only a two-core coaxial cable structure, but it requires a single-ended long-distance transmission of high-frequency analog video signals, which is more technically difficult. First of all, in the superimposition process, the most difficult thing is to solve the problem of superimposing and transmitting the DC power supply and the video signal to ensure that the high-definition video is not distorted.
2. The transmission medium is different.
The PoE power supply system uses twisted pair (network cable) for transmission, while the PoC power supply system uses coaxial cable for transmission.
3. Different application areas.
The PoE solution is to transmit network data, and the transmission process is reliable, but the required transmission image needs to be digitized before transmission, the cost is relatively high and there is the possibility of network delay, and the maximum transmission distance is only 100 meters.
